Measurements

Below are a series of charts for checking measurements against when placing an order. It is extremely important to check measurements carefully before ordering, to ensure a comfortable and accurate fit. Please be honest in your measurements!

Fittings for costumes and bridalwear can be arranged, please contact for further details.

Essentials for a well-fitting corset

  1. Natural Waist - the narrowest point on the torso. Please ensure that you make a note of where you take this measurement, to ensure that length measurements are made to the same point.
  2. Underbust - directly under the bust, around the ribcage.
  3. Bust - the widest part of the bust.
  4. Overbust  - required only for the “hourglass overbust” style of corset. Measure one inch above the widest part of the bust.
  5. Top Hip - the area of the top of the hip bone. Please ensure you take a note of where you made this measurement, to ensure that length measurements are made to the same point.
  6. Lower Hip - widest part of the hips.
  7. Bust to Waist - measure from widest part of the bust to natural waist.
  8. Underbust to Waist - measure from underbust to natural waist.
  9. Waist to Top Hip - measure straight from front of the body from natural waist to the area you marked for your top hip measurement.
  10. Waist to Lower Hip - as above but measure to lower hip area.

Please also note with your measurements what your desired waist size for the finished corset is. The corsets pictured on this website are generally designed to give a 3-4 inch reduction in waist size. Should a greater or lesser reduction be required, please specify.
